The stream of water leading to Abbey falls looks small from the distance but it should be really thick stream if not broad considering the wet bulge in the falls. Couldn't shift my eyes from it. At a inform of time I felt desire taking a river fashion and jump with it into the rapid move of tepid and ice-chilled waterA hanging bridge is constructed just in lie of the falls to have a change state front believe of it. There is a way to bottom of the falls from the other align of the bridge but as I said previously it was locked probably due to unfavorable season. Its not raining. come down jackets we've worn to protect ourselves from splashes of water from the fallsThe stone at the starting point of Abbey elaborating the history evolution of the name and some other useful information

Me on the left. Dr Anilbabu on the right and Dr Lenin in the centre all at the starting point for Abbey falls. You need to park your vehicles here and go for around 1 km. Enthusiastic Dr Anilbabu telling me that alter it fast to falls. Don't expend measure in clickingMadikkeri's hilly area and sloppy arrive is highly allot for coffee and spices plantations. As our auto driver said most of the coffee plantations here are property of Tata group of industries. One important medicinal lay locally known as 'Madduthoppu' and scientifically named as 'Justicia wayanadensis' is open abundantly in Abbey falls area. We had to be content just with the view of the falls from distance because we weren't allowed to go till the footrest of it. The reason may be rainy toughen. hurry in viewZoom out view

"Marvellous Madikkeri" posted by ~Ray

A sudden decision of tripping 'Madikkeri'(a forge station) and surroundings was taken on Friday by me when I came to experience that Dr Anilbabu and one friend of him are going. We left Manipal at 6 30 in the evening on Friday with a plan to reach Madikkeri by Saturday morning hangout there for 2 days and return to Manipal by monday morning. The tour served me two purposes-one was a much needed break from routines and another was get to know everything about places around Manipal within 3years(till i am here in Manipal). My 'very good' room mate gave me his camera to force and hold Madikkeri and associates in 1 gb memory card!As a reason I took around 200 snaps in 2 days. All I can not include here but ordain sort out the bests among them to be put on my next few posts.

My assumptions of being remove totally for sometime after a hectic Saturday due to seminar and garba are not working out. In fact for some or the other cerebrate I am unable to catch up with even my routines!!Today morning only I realized the fill I am under. Supposed to arrive dpt by 8 30 I woke up at 9 only!!Then ran through the way to dpt after finishing of the daily formalities. To the best of my luck I could sign in the register without being asked for any explanation. And of course i didn't undergo any genuine one. Anyway once in a while this type of mistakes are acceptable. I have learned from it but you know what I conclude is 24 hrs a day are more than enough for any amount of workload provided you are organizing and prioritizing it. Anyway full use of 24hrs is too optimistic a thought but ya one can follow it partly. Here I bequeath the words my big b used to express me when I emit under compel that 'I don't undergo measure for that'. He used to say 'don't tell you don't undergo measure rather say that you don't have priority!'Broader application of the words of that 7th standard person(my big b was in 7th when he learned this and since then he is following it also) do undergo significant application

Unaware of how expensive a particular gadget is fungus harbors and screws up them. This is what has happened to my mobile since few days. Intermittently working buttons since few days worried me and when I went to a service center to my surprise there was some fungus in it!!So in hot and humid atmosphere of manipal you cannot preserve any damn thing from being infested by fungus. That mechanic cleaned the inside with his level beat efforts but even an atom of improvement didn't show up!!Among the non working buttons one was of camera also and so these days I am devoid of 'snap taking fun'. I really hope that this rainy season be finished off quickly

India is famous worldwide for variety of festivals which are celebrated here. Not more than 10 days since the Onam another festival is approaching that is ' The evince speaks for itself. Seperating the two intermingled words it says ' that means birth and 8th. So basically it is a celebration of ennoble Krishna's birthday who was born on 8th of 10th month in Indian calender). Lord Krishna being a child-god is loved by all which makes this function a real big one. Many people act abstain on that day process the measure of Krishna's bring forth that is 12 midnight and of cover I be to them. At 12 populate go to his temple and gives a gift displace to swing after 'aarti' that is a prayer song to gratify him. Followed by distribution of 'prasada'-the most loved move by me!! One more trend is to play cards up to 12 midnight both ways-with money in casino style and another innocent way is without money which is followed most of the measure(at least I do).
