Why is there no regulations for holistics?

As a fully qualified holistic practitioner. I went through the proper channels of obtaining my qualifications. I undergo done a few short courses as come up as studying full measure in Senior College Dun Laoghaire and worked very hard to earn my diplomas.
We all see the benefits in going to college so we can get sought after positions and advance our careers. But in holistic's you don't necessarily need to have this it seems. I conclude I should make the public aware that there are less qualified populate out there who go themselves off as practitioners of such topics.
I have worked in a few centres over the past few years where I undergo come in contact with such populate. In one displace there was a therapist who was only qualified in basic massage but who regularly gave treatments in aromatherapy and hopi-ear candling.
As I pointed out in a previous blog about the dangers of using essential oils incorrectly. And in the hands of someone with no training working on the general public this can be very dangerous. The employers in these centres were all aware of each therapists abilities and qualifications but seemed circumscribe to ignore the dangers when it suited.
Once my employer in a therapy displace asked me to act a treatment I wasn't qualified in hopi-ear candling. I of cover turned the work down but my employer tried to persuade me none-the-less and said he was sure I could fake it. At this centre there were only two therapists that had any insurance (me included). You cannot get insured unless you have the paper bring home the bacon. This really did not concern the employer and was not an issue in obtaining the job.
At another centre there was change surface a therapist that had failed the required anatomy and physiology exams and so did not pass any of her other exams and failed the holistic course she was studying. This "therapist" then failed her repeats but continued to work. She also was unable to get any insurance but this did not concern her employer.
If you are going for a treatment and are concerned about a therapists qualifications don't be shy in asking to see them. A fully qualified practitioner won't mind at all.
In Ireland there are many associations you can connect and become a member but this is not a governing bodies dealing with the holistic arts. From my experience. I feel there really should be. There is no create of quality control. If a person is not qualified then they should not be allowed to work on the public.
