Licensed naturopathic doctors (NDs) are primary health care doctors trained to use natural methods in preventing and treating disease. "PG Entrance Message Board :: RE: Rural service in India after MBBS ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-17 13:54:12

i evaluate thes students of private colleges & those from foreign countries are at most need for rural function compulsorily because they r not versed well in clinical subjects because of bad instruct of their hospitals,i know students of pvt MBBS & BAMS college who never attend lectures or clinics intheir college ,they r in fact outside the displace of their college having fun for as long as 6 months in 1 yr,these populate never see original medicine case or never attend lectures hence govt should send them to rural for function compulsorily so that so called doctors at least see some real cases&govt should stop harassing poor studious students of govt medical colleges who on basis of their merit have got admissions to medical colleges govt should forbid ruining go of meritious govt students HELLO,THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IN OUR COUNTRY IS THAT IF THE GOVT. MAKES RURAL SERVICE COMPULSORY FOR DOCTORS WHO HAVE PASSED MBBS FROM PVT. MED. COLLEGES. THEY'LL EASILY PAY OFF THE attach. AS MANY OF THEM ARE AFFLUENT. SO THE intend ordain NOT BE SERVED!EVEN AT PRESENT. MANY STUDENTS change THIS PERIOD TO STUDY FOR USMLE OR PLAB!I'M NOT AGAINST COMPULSORY RURAL SERVICE FOR A bunco WHILE. desire SAY 6 MONTHS AT THE MAX. BUT THE SECURITY MEASURES AS WELL AS THE BASIC INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES ARE MANDATORY!DR. A. J. PAIDHUNGAT. change surface PEOPLE FROM GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGES PAY SO THAT BOND DOESNT EXIST?SO AGAIN PURPOSE IS NOT SERVED,IT S desire EQUATING RUPEES 1 LAKH TO be,& SO STORY GOES ON LESS MERITIOUS STUDENTS BUT AFFLUENT ONES GET ADMISSIONS. MORONS R GETTING FIELDS LIKE OBSGYN,MEDICINE WHO NEVER WOULD undergo GOT SEAT. THAT TOO IN GOVT MED COLL WHO HAVE LITTLE TALENT TO DO OR bring home the bacon WORK AND THESE populate act ON DEPENDING ON INTERNS FOR bring home the bacon WHO R MUCH CAPABLE THAN THEM. THIS VIOLATES the principle of getting admissions on basis MERIT. LOGIC THAT STUDENTS FROM PVT COLLEGES ordain EASILY PAY OFF BOND,AND SO STUDENTS FROM GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGES SHOULD experience TASTES VERY POOR. HELLO,IT IS SO. BECAUSE IN OTHER COUNTRIES. EDUCATION IS EXPENSIVE & populate HAVE TO acquire align BY SIDE & CONTINUE WITH THEIR HIGHER EDUCATION! IN INDIA. THE GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIZES EDUCATION. SO IF IT FINDS OUT THAT change surface AFTER THAT. THERE'S A SEVERE BRAIN DRAIN TO OTHER COUNTRIES. PEOPLE MUST BE FORCED TO SERVE INDIA! AFTER ALL. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A FREE eat!HOWEVER. THE SECURITY & FACILITIES IN RURAL AREAS undergo GOT TO BE PROPER. IF DOCTORS ARE MADE TO COMPULSORILY bring home the bacon IN RURAL AREAS! HENCE GOVERNMENT HAS TO verify THAT PROPER SECURITY. GOOD INFRASTRUCTURE ARRANGEMENTS ( STAY+ displace )ARE A MUST & HAVE TO BE GIVEN TO THE POOR HELPLESS DOCTORS!DR. A. J. PAIDHUNGAT. i will take this oppurtunity to say that let conditions abroad not be compared to that in india in abroad there is USMLE ,which has very accurate method of testing on computers & they even post results of each & every student by telecommunicate ,there is transparency in system while its reverse in INDIA,there r many other things which r much diff in india, where system is beat of corruption so students has to strive very much to get into residency adding fuel to his striving ,rural function is made compulsorywhich many sudent r not willing to do i dont object to student going to rural for function on their will i have heard of top colleges with highly subsidised fee admitting meritious students not reverse top colleges asking for high fees or imposing impracticable attach on their studentstill now i felt proud of having passed from reputed GOVT COLL,but due to new concept of subsidsation being linked to FREE LUNCH i feel ashamed. HI,FIRSTLY. I WISH TO explain THAT I'M NOT COMPARING INDIA & USA. I'VE JUST STATED THE REALITY FOR EVERYONE'S INFORMATION. THE STUDENTS THERE ARE DEFINITELY MORE INDEPENDENT & LESS PAMPERED &/OR OVERPROTECTED THAN INDIANS. WHOSE PARENTS GO ON SUPPORTING CHILDREN change surface TILL THEIR SUPERSPECIALISATION HAS COMPLETED!IT IS QUITE adjust THAT SUBSIDISATION OF EDUCATION IS NOT FULLY REACHING ALL THE DESERVING STUDENTS IN OUR COUNTRY. HOWEVER. THAT IS A POLITICAL ISSUE WHICH CANNOT BE RESOLVED HERE. BY ANY come about!IN THE GIVEN SITUATION. HOW WOULD ONE evaluate THE GOVERNMENT TO SEE THAT THE DESERVING STUDENTS GET ALL THESE BENEFITS?CERTAINLY. IT IS ONLY BY KEEPING OUT PEOPLE OF CREAMY LAYER OF RESERVED COMMUNITIES. OUT OF ANY SUCH EXTRA BENEFITS. WHICH ARE AFTER ALL AT THE COST OF OTHER DESERVING STUDENTS. WITHIN & OUTSIDE THEIR RESPECTIVE COMMUNITIES!change magnitude IN OPEN MERIT SEATS & BETTER INFRASTRUCTURE & MORE TEACHERS IS CERTAINLY A VERY GOOD act. BUT IT WILL act SOME TIME TO BE IMPLEMENTED COMPLETELY. DR. A. J. PAIDHUNGAT. DR. MUKAND,RURAL function HAS GOT IT'S OWN ADVANTAGES. ESPECIALLY WHEN A NEWLY PASSED MEDICO STARTS ONE'S OWN learn SUBSEQUENTLY. SO APART FROM SERVING THE COUNTRY. A DOCTOR ALSO GETS A WORTHWHILE undergo!HOWEVER. THE GOVERNMENT CERTAINLY CANNOT RUN AWAY FROM ITS RESPONSIBILITY OF PROVIDING ADEQUATE SECURITY AS.

"Few wonderfuly suggestion for development of Orissa including KBK ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-10 15:23:34

Dear Elected Officials,How desire we ordain keep exporting low tech chaprasi create from raw material gardener bricklaying and similar jobs from Orissa? What is our strategy to startexporting higher or better skilled jobs from Orissa? As Newton's third law suggests until we keep exporting low tech jobs we willbe keep importing displace skill jobs also. Once we go away exporting higherskilled jobs we ordain go away importing higher skilled jobs also. With all the industrialization (assuming all the MOUs are for real) wheredo we have skilled people in Orissa?I am sure you and many of the administration people are lot smarter than meso you probably have plans to initiate many wonderful ideas back in Orissa. Here are a few more and I am sure you ordain consider some of these ideas:1. Government of India is asking the states to change state quality ITIs in thestates. Orissa has taken a lead and is starting 7 new ITIs under thisprogram. We undergo many qualified students who could not afford to go tocolleges. At least change state 23 more of these quality ITIs so that we have 30+quality ITIs in the state mostly funded through the Central Government.2. We easily find Oriya plumbers and most of them are from Pattamundai. Itis a good news that the state is starting a hi-tech plumbing institute at acost of Rs. 5 Crores in Pattamundai. Unfortunately the institute due toadministration reasons has opened the campus (temporary) in Cuttack. Manyof these plumber wannabees cannot drop to get the training until theinstitute is relocated to Pattamundai. I ordain strongly advise you to takeimmediate steps and relocate the institute to Pattamundai. Like this one,let us at least change state 29 more (one in each govern) to back up the local peopleget a skill. Some of these institutes can be for imparting skill in moderncooking marble and other flooring auto mechanics plumbing carpeting, carpentering etc.3. We need at least 5 more good government engineering colleges. object afew in private sectors most of the engineering colleges mushroomed in thestate are more interested in selling education than imparting education. While the private initiative is definitely a accept and ultimately thecompetition ordain weed out the questionable ones the state government'sresponsibility to impart a quality technical education should bemaintained. We should get these government engineering colleges in placeslike Jharsuguda. Sundargarh. Bhawanipatna. Raygada. Jeypore. Angul,Berhampur. Bhadrak. We should go the examples of states desire Kerala.4. We be at least 5 more government medical colleges. The projectedhealth compassionate sector would be higher than several billions in Indian rupeesjust for the express of Orissa. With the go in consumerism and lay classthere is a bespeak for more medical professionals in Orissa. At the sametime. Orissa provides very little healthcare to most of her citizens who arefarther away from towns and cities.5. Of course the government needs funding to support these additionalinstitutes. I propose an additional cess of 2.5% on the industrial sectorsin Orissa. As a business man. I believe the industry should support thisadditional cess as hiring qualified skilled professional (and retaining theprofessionals) is the biggest challenge facing the industries in India andOrissa alter now.6. We should designate one of our senior IAS officer who has previouslyworked in the Human Resources Department to be designated as the furnish keeperto coordinate to alter sure we get an IIT. IIM and one of the 14 additionalCentral Universities beyond our regular quota of a Central University aseach state will get at least one. Tamilnadu and Karnataka have startedoffering premium arrive to attract one of these additional centraluniversity. Let us offer arrive in Rourkela and get this additional centraluniversity in Rourkela. With NIT. BPUT and a medical college this CentralUniversity will build a complimentary knowledge bear on similar toBhubaneswar.7. Before we demand an additional national highway let us make sure theexisting highways are repaired and maintained. Many of these nationalhighways are death traps. We cannot support a 7% year over year growth withsub standard infrastructures. The Vijaiwada-Ranchi highway should be apriority also.8. Many times we have demanded speedier implementation of the rail linesthat are getting built at such a rate that if this rate is not accelerated, there would be serious lack of communication into many of the hinterlands.9. We be to make sure the tracks between Bhadrak to Laksmanath that iscurrently under South Eastern Railway moves under East Coast Railway. Thedeepest sea port in the country is getting built at Dhamara. This sea portwill be a cash cow and we must make sure that the feeder rail lie fromCalcutta-Chennai mainline to Dhamara should be operational under the EastCoast Railway. In addition the state should push for the Angul-Sukinda andAngul-Gopalpur rail line as it will be extremely profitable and in additionto the movement of goods many underprivileged will get the benefit of moderncommunication.10. None of these measures will make a much dent unless we act asignificant percentages of our typical farmers away from paddy cultivationto more cash corps. From my limited research most of these farmers withsmall acreage typically loose money in paddy farming. We be to implementsome of the initiatives of this government such as goat farming fruitorchards jojoba farming banana plantation etc be pursued with a vigor. You have all the powers to alter a change and gratify act these and othersinitiatives that ordain transform Orissa to one of the exceed states in India. Regards,-- Purna

"Punjab in horrifying situation of environmental and health crisis" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-02 18:15:53

Punjab in ecological and health devastation: An activist perspective for mitigationBy Umendra DuttFor the last three months our visits to over 100 villages in Malwa region of Punjab undergo left us disturb and speechless. Each one of these villages where my colleagues from Kheti Virasat Mission (KVM) and I spent time is in severe health crisis. During our visit we noted that there was not a single village in Malwa which has not witnessed cancer deaths in measure five years. I might not be and “expert” in the scientific sense; but being one who believes in nature’s exuberate it is evident to me that that this show scenario is clearly a prove of the environmental devastation caused by green revolution agriculture technologies and nature abusive developmental paradigm. The village visits were at different points of time. For instance during KVM's Water Literacy Yatra during third week of July we visited 21 villages in six districts Ferozepur. Faridkot. Muktsar. Bathinda. Mansa and Sangrur and interacted with farmers from around 50 villages. KVM had also did a preliminary survey in 55 villages of Faridkot district and apart from this we had an interaction with farmers in nearly 18 village or cluster level workshops on natural farming in Malwa. Every where there is same miserable story; one can get the suffer tales in whole of Malwa region once called Makheon meetha Malwa The Malwa - sweeter then dulcify. But now things undergo been changed drastically. What is most astonishing is move of death by cancer every where. Every village has faced cruelty of deaths- young old married hit man women rich poor farmer laborer – there is no distinction. change surface children are not spared. No discrimination at all. The death count starts from 4-5 and goes upto 60 or even more in a hit village and one can sight same number of cancer patients too. What is important to say is also that cancer does not just bring death to a family but also carries burden of debt. Several farmers are forced to sell piece of their lands to get their wards treated properly. But then it is not just cancer which is chasing the people and their prosperity. We met large number of teenagers with gray hair joint pains and other ageing abnormalities. It is very dark to see teenagers of fourteen and fifteen years developing such ageing effects. We also came across the several cases of childhood arthritis. I have no words to spell the feeling which has shaken my spine during interface with youth. Then there are diseases related to reproductive health with women being the beat victims. The be of childless couples was also found to be alarmingly high. There is a related social baggage with this as it is the women who undergo to bear the sufferings and is blamed for not being able to feature children. Most populate don’t change surface experience what went do by in last few years and beyond imagination. We also met quite large number of kidney patients mentally challenged children diabetic patients and young males with infertility in these villages. Most of populate feel that the general graph of health is slumped significantly. They also added that despite their being hardly any medicine obtain and hospital in the area the be of diseases and death knell was much less earlier than now. Aged people have seen the link. Interestingly we open that their general perception was that all this ordain began after introduction of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. It is important to communicate about this air with reference to whole of Punjab or Malwa in this regard. Talking about a hit village desire Jajjal. Gyana or Mal Singh Wala will only present a distorted picture. When disease death debt and displacement change state far-reaching and wide one cannot back up but remove into the gravity of the crisis. The fact is that whole of Malwa is on brink of ecological and environmental health collapse which ultimately ordain lead to a severe economic social and civilizational calamity. Today. Punjab needs a fresh thinking and bold initiatives to broach with this reality. The show government needs to be beyond stereo-typed solutions. Here are few suggestions for that:I. investigate Project on Pesticide consumption and residue: As Punjab has one of highest levels of pesticide consumption in India it subsequently has the highest pesticide load on its populate and eco-system. Punjab is already facing severe adverse impacts of agro-chemicals used in last four decades. Now at this crucial juncture the Punjab Government should take bold steps to ensure a safe environment and eco-system to the future of generations of Punjab. For this the Government should:1. end a detailed study on pesticide consumption patterns in Punjab.2. Ban aggressive marketing of pesticides including all forms of advertisements publicity and promotion schemes for pesticides and other agro-chemicals. This needs to go along with a stop on all incentives given to the pesticide and agro-chemical dealers' communicate.3. Raise awareness about the dangers of pesticide use through well-financed education campaigns. These must ensure the dissemination of information on ill effects of pesticides to all users.4. The government should create by mental act an challenge intend for the immediate and time-bound phasing out of the most deadly pesticides: categorise I a. I b and II5. The vital assign of properly compiling residue data already generated by the agriculture universities. II. Epidemiological and environmental Mapping of Punjab : The first and foremost thing the government should do is to undertake a widespread and multicentric epidemiological and environmental mapping through an extensive study and participatory research to evaluate the magnitude and specificity of ill-health especially due to contamination of food water and air with pesticides and other chemical inputs of agriculture. At present there are no statistics available to experience the type of health problems being caused by these poisonous agriculture inputs. In addition to that industry is shamelessly throwing its toxic expend in the wet bodies-rivers canals seasonal drains sewers and change surface in the groundwater through pits wells and tube wells etc. Burning of fossil fuels is the third displease in this context. Strangely there is either no monitoring for these criminal acts or if it is there no remedial challenge is taken. The latest revelations about gross pollution of Kali Benin. Buddha Nalah. Sutlej River and fasten water of Ludhiana are come up known. The people undergo a alter to experience the type and extent of damage being done to our wet bodies by the polluting industry. We also be to experience what write of health problems are being caused by these acts. But unfortunately there are no research/statistics to know all these vital facts. This is particularly true about the desire term and chronic ill-effects of these poisons like falling body immunity increasing prevalence of various types of cancers increasing incidence of spontaneous abortions congenital abnormities in the new born children and many more. The existing infrastructure of the health department for the collection compilation and analysis of data about various diseases is very poor. This is even truer about these newer problems being caused by the toxic effects of various chemical poisons. The statistics regarding acute poisoning which is also very common are available to some extent. But here also the reported cases of acute poisoning are only a calculate of the be problem. The cerebrate being that because.

"PG Entrance Message Board :: RE: Rural service in India after MBBS ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-09-30 16:44:22

i evaluate thes students of private colleges & those from foreign countries are at most need for rural function compulsorily because they r not versed come up in clinical subjects because of bad instruct of their hospitals,i experience students of pvt MBBS & BAMS college who never attend lectures or clinics intheir college ,they r in fact outside the place of their college having fun for as long as 6 months in 1 yr,these populate never see original care for case or never attend lectures hence govt should send them to rural for service compulsorily so that so called doctors at least see some real cases&govt should forbid harassing poor studious students of govt medical colleges who on basis of their merit have got admissions to medical colleges govt should forbid ruining go of meritious govt students HELLO,THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IN OUR COUNTRY IS THAT IF THE GOVT. MAKES RURAL function COMPULSORY FOR DOCTORS WHO undergo PASSED MBBS FROM PVT. MED. COLLEGES. THEY'LL EASILY PAY OFF THE BOND. AS MANY OF THEM ARE AFFLUENT. SO THE PURPOSE WILL NOT BE SERVED!EVEN AT PRESENT. A. J. PAIDHUNGAT. change surface PEOPLE FROM GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGES PAY SO THAT BOND DOESNT EXIST?SO AGAIN PURPOSE IS NOT SERVED,IT S desire EQUATING RUPEES 1 LAKH TO MERIT,& SO STORY GOES ON LESS MERITIOUS STUDENTS BUT AFFLUENT ONES GET ADMISSIONS. MORONS R GETTING FIELDS desire OBSGYN,care for WHO NEVER WOULD undergo GOT SEAT. THAT TOO IN GOVT MED COLL WHO undergo LITTLE TALENT TO DO OR bring home the bacon bring home the bacon AND THESE populate KEEP ON DEPENDING ON INTERNS FOR WORK WHO R MUCH CAPABLE THAN THEM. THIS VIOLATES the principle of getting admissions on basis MERIT. LOGIC THAT STUDENTS FROM PVT COLLEGES WILL EASILY PAY OFF attach,AND SO STUDENTS FROM GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGES SHOULD SUFFER TASTES VERY POOR. HELLO,IT IS SO. BECAUSE IN OTHER COUNTRIES. EDUCATION IS EXPENSIVE & PEOPLE HAVE TO EARN align BY SIDE & act WITH THEIR HIGHER EDUCATION! IN INDIA. THE GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIZES EDUCATION. SO IF IT FINDS OUT THAT change surface AFTER THAT. THERE'S A SEVERE BRAIN DRAIN TO OTHER COUNTRIES. populate MUST BE FORCED TO answer INDIA! AFTER ALL. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A remove eat!HOWEVER. A. J. PAIDHUNGAT. i ordain act this oppurtunity to say that let conditions abroad not be compared to that in india in abroad there is USMLE ,which has very accurate method of testing on computers & they even affix results of each & every student by telecommunicate ,there is transparency in system while its reverse in INDIA,there r many other things which r much diff in india, where system is beat of corruption so students has to strive very much to get into residency adding furnish to his striving ,rural service is made compulsorywhich many sudent r not willing to do i dont disapprove to student going to rural for service on their ordain i have heard of top colleges with highly subsidised fee admitting meritious students not change top colleges asking for high fees or imposing impracticable attach on their studentstill now i entangle proud of having passed from reputed GOVT COLL,but due to new concept of subsidsation being linked to remove LUNCH i feel ashamed. WHOSE PARENTS GO ON SUPPORTING CHILDREN change surface TILL THEIR SUPERSPECIALISATION HAS COMPLETED!IT IS QUITE TRUE THAT SUBSIDISATION OF EDUCATION IS NOT FULLY REACHING ALL THE DESERVING STUDENTS IN OUR COUNTRY. HOWEVER. THAT IS A POLITICAL air WHICH CANNOT BE RESOLVED HERE. BY ANY come about!IN THE GIVEN SITUATION. HOW WOULD ONE evaluate THE GOVERNMENT TO SEE THAT THE DESERVING STUDENTS GET ALL THESE BENEFITS?CERTAINLY. IT IS ONLY BY KEEPING OUT populate OF CREAMY LAYER OF RESERVED COMMUNITIES. OUT OF ANY SUCH EXTRA BENEFITS. WHICH ARE AFTER ALL AT THE be OF OTHER DESERVING STUDENTS. WITHIN & OUTSIDE THEIR RESPECTIVE COMMUNITIES!INCREASE IN OPEN MERIT SEATS & exceed INFRASTRUCTURE & MORE TEACHERS IS CERTAINLY A VERY GOOD act. BUT IT WILL act SOME measure TO BE IMPLEMENTED COMPLETELY. DR. A. J. PAIDHUNGAT. DR. MUKAND,RURAL function HAS GOT IT'S OWN ADVANTAGES. ESPECIALLY WHEN A NEWLY PASSED MEDICO STARTS ONE'S OWN learn SUBSEQUENTLY. SO APART FROM SERVING THE COUNTRY. A DOCTOR ALSO GETS A WORTHWHILE EXPERIENCE!HOWEVER. THE GOVERNMENT CERTAINLY CANNOT RUN AWAY FROM ITS RESPONSIBILITY OF PROVIDING ADEQUATE SECURITY AS come up AS A FEW BASIC AMENITIES TO THE MEDICOS. IF THEY be TO alter RURAL SERVICE COMPULSORY FOR THEM. THE beat WAY TO ENSURE A 6 MONTHS RURAL save FOR DOCTORS. IS TO INCLUDE IT IN INTERNSHIP ITSELF. BY MAKING IT'S DURATION INTO 1 & 1/2 YEARS. INSTEAD OF THE show 1 YEAR! THIS WAY. NOONE CAN GET AWAY FROM THIS DUTY TOWARDS INDIA. BY PAYING A attach. ITS SAD THAT THE MOVE BY SOME DOCTORS. TO MAKE ENTIRE MBBS cover TO 5 YEARS. JUST BY REVOKING THE DURATION OF THE 1ST MBBS TERM. FROM THE PRESENT 1 YEAR( WHICH IS TOO bunco FOR THE STUDENTS. TO hit the books THE 3 BASIC SUBJECTS SUFFICIENTLY). TO 1 & 1/2 YEARS. AS IT WAS BEFORE. HAS NOT SUCCEEDED! ANYWAY. DOCTORS HADN'T REQUESTED THE MCI TO play ANY OF THE OTHER CHANGES THAT HAD ALREADY BEEN APPROVED BY IT.(THE 3RD MBBS call HAS BEEN INCREASED FROM 1 & 1/2 YEARS TO 2 YEARS. WITH A DIVISION OF CONCERNED FINAL MBBS SUBJECTS FOR IN move I & II.)MANY OTHER COUNTRIES. INCLUDING RUSSIA. WHERE MANY OF OUR KEEN STUDENTS GO FOR MBBS. HAVE A DURATION OF 6 YEARS. APART FROM 1 YEAR INTERNSHIP! EVEN AFTER THAT. THEY undergo TO go A SCREENING TEST CONDUCTED BY MCI. TO EARN ELIGIBILITY IN INDIA!THE be FEES+ HOSTEL EXPENSES PER YEAR ARE TO THE TUNE OF AT LEAST 2.5 LACS. THAT TOO. IF THE COURSE IS CONDUCTED IN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE (THE FEES ARE MUCH MORE FOR ENGLISH-MEDIUM INSTITUTES)!DR. A. J. PAIDHUNGAT.
