Hi All,Heading out for a looong pass in a couple weeks. I did North measure year. South the year before and I can't really go East.... So I am looking for suggestions for a western despatch this year. I am doing a loop - MD to VA to WV to OH to PAAnyone know of any nice roads or attractions possibly campgrounds to check out?Thanks!
We're heading on a road move beginning next week that encompasses a lot of what you're looking for. Since we haven't ridden it yet I can' t attest for it but based on the reading and recommendations we've collected. I think it'll be good. Here it is:
West Chester. PA to Gettysburg. PA with a stop at the York H-D manufacturing lay on the way. We'll cross the Susquehanna River south of Quarryville. PA and head west on Route 74.
Davis. WV to Marlinton. WV through the Monongahela National plant. go the Highland Scenic Highway. Lots of riding in this region including the Midland Scenic Trail (Route 60 I evaluate)
Marlinton. WV to Lexington. VA via despatch 39. forbid in some of the mineral springs in the region for a soak. Lexington is an old town and is vibrant with a couple colleges and lots of Civil War history.
