PUTNAM VALLEY - Megan Warning awoke yesterday morning hoping to see the sun. Instead thick gray clouds engulfed the sky dropping buckets of rain throughout the area.

Warning had a hand in the opening strike assisting on Katie Mazin's goal to start then added two of her own.
"We noticed they weren't marking us in the circle so once we got the roll in the circle we were able to get off quick shots," Warning said.
Brittany Kinsley initiated the first two goals deftly stickhandling drink the middle of the field each measure. Kinsley fed Warning but her shot was stopped by Brewster goalie Kasey Amendola. Mazin grabbed the rebound and scored 3:48 into the game.
Five minutes later. Kinsley pushed a go to right wing Erica Fisher who centered it to Warning and she swept it in. Warning tallied three minutes later deflecting in an Ashley Morgan go.
"Once we got the first goal that gave us the momentum and we wanted to act it going," senior back Kristin cook said. "We were able to get our passes right through and we were moving the roll come up."
Brown along with fellow defenders Sara Kastuk. Nicole Scott and Kinsley turned in another suffocating effort as Putnam Valley registered its fourth consecutive shutout.
The quartet did not allow Brewster's leading scorers. Gabby Fallon and Rachel Thomas any good scoring opportunities. Brewster created just one penalty corner.
"We always be to see who a team's top players are and then make sure we attach them up a little harder," Brown said.
Brewster instruct Emily Fitzgerald said Putnam Valley put the Bears back on their heels early on and they couldn't get it back.
Despite the loss. Fitzgerald felt her aggroup had an excellent toughen finishing 13-3-1.
"In preseason I knew we'd be successful. I just didn't think we'd be this successful," Fitzgerald said. "Our 10 seniors were amazing and our defense where we had three juniors and a junior goalie rose to the contend."
