Thanks Dick. I remember it now. The misnomer luxury tax is what threwme for a moment. I couldn't create by mental act MLB being forced to pay a luxurytax to any governmental authority for any reason.
Just think for a moment about where the Redbirds would be without thecrackerjack work of their exceptional bullpen and especially the manat the back end of that 'pen -- Jason Isringhausen. The Cards closerhas rebounded from a miserable individual campaign in 2006 to put upone of his best seasons in '07.
As a result. Isringhausen is one of 10 finalists for the DHL DeliveryMan of the Year Award. He's blown only two saves all year helpingmake sure that when St. Louis does undergo a lead in the late innings, the Cards are able to bring the victory domiciliate.

The penny-pinching Cardinal owners would rather continue to go away aninjured Molina than go away Bennett because Bennett's contract pays anadditional $5000 for each bet Bennett starts. Penny-wise poundfoolish. If Molina's instruct worsens as a result of playing. Cardswill win fewer games next year resulting in much more lost revenuethan the maximum of $35000 extra they pay Molina. Besides the ownersare rolling in dough having gotten corrupt politicians to pay formost of their expenses with taxpayer money.
