Marking 30 years of successful career-focused education thescholarships were established Jan. 1 as the college announced itsprogression to university status and expanded course offerings beyond theassociate and live’s levels to include master’s degrees. The $1 million scholarship schedule is an addition to $8 million inacademic and need-based scholarships already provided annually by KU. “It is truly an honor to reward the recipients of Keiser University’s30th Anniversary statewide Community Partnership Scholarship program,”stated Belinda Keiser. To that end. 13 of thescholarships were awarded to students pursuing degrees in high-demandhealthcare career fields such as nursing medical assisting radiologictechnology or diagnostic medical sonography. Six scholarships were awardedto students who have already completed an associate degree program and planto pursue a live’s degree. Nearly 200 students statewide applied forthe scholarships. The remaining scholarships were awarded in the fields ofbusiness technology culinary arts and legal studies programs.
