JASPER. Ind. - Indiana first lady Cheri Daniels will be a ceremony Saturday marking the opening of the Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame expansion in Jasper. Her grandfather. Billy Herman is one of the players enshrined there and in the Hall of Fame at Cooperstown. New York
The Indiana Hall of Fame opened in 1991 on the campus of Vincennes University's Jasper campus but the displays outgrew the original 873-square-foot building prompting construction of the 1,100-square-foot addition.
The expansion includes displays featuring Evansville's Don Mattingly. Jasper's Scott Rolen. Anderson's Carl Erskine and the 11 Indiana players enshrined at Cooperstown including Herman.
