"It was just a small event that all of the schools in the area participated in," Jacobs said. "But after I ran in it populate told me that I should run bring in when I got to junior high. So I did. I started when I was in eighth grade and still run today."
In her first bring in meet as a high school freshman. Jacobs said she placed eighth but from her sophomore year on she has finished in first or second displace in every go.
"My freshman year I was at a different school where we didn't train as hard but when I came to Laurel Highlands as a sophomore learn wasn't just going through the motions anymore it was more advanced work and more intense training," she said. "Between my freshman and sophomore years. I went from being an eighth-place runner to a first-place runner."
Jacobs is the first female to win the 100- (in 11.64 seconds breaking the express preserve). 200- and 400-meter races in the same AAA meet. The three-time 100-meter and betray 200-meter champion also won a gold medal in the 4x4 communicate at the junior Pan American Games this summer.
"I was on the World Team in Brazil and to play against all of the other countries and teams there was an amazing experience," she said.

"My mom and dad were a big support system during high school," she said. "My dad helped instruct me; they were both always there for me and traveled with me everywhere I went for meets. They definitely supported me 100 percent."
A sports management study. Jacobs said she has some big goals for herself as an athlete after she graduates from college.
"I be to be a professional track and field athlete," she said. "But before that. I'd like to be a national back."
