"How To Find The Best Authentic Sports Memorabilia For Your Collection" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-10-10 03:32:36

Be educated about the industry equip yourself with knowledge and be a collector who doesn't just act like they know the art of recognizing authentic sports memorabilia instead be one that truly knows. If you come across a trader who does not respond to your questions to your gratification it is best to follow your instincts and go to someone else. Dealer self-confidence is important but don't confuse confidence with a the cockiness of a con man. You should know the true worth of your items. It's not right to you or to the trader to buy an item and then find out it isn't nearly as valuable as you had first believed. A reputable trader will desire you to be pleased with your purchase so you will be able to be proud to do business with them and be willing to spread the good experience around to build their reputation. An unscrupulous dealer just wants you to rush up and spend your money and they are unlikely to stand behind the authenticity of their sports memorabilia. At the same time it's unfair to the trader to buy with an attitude of "If I don't like it. I'll just return it." They want people who are as serious as they are about their sports memorabilia just as much as you want authenticity. I you have any doubts it is better to go away think it over and return than to purchase in a rush. You might want to come back to the same dealer again in the future and should build a beneficial relationship with him or her. You should also realize a certificate of authenticity doesn't guarantee that you are doing business with a reputable dealer nor does the phrase 'mint condition'. As in other markets there is such a thing known as 'dealer bias'. It is among the negative facets of the business. You might try to come back to the same dealer and sell back the card they sold you for a high price in 'mint condition' only to find out they now they reduce the worth. They will not want to pay you what they said it was worth. Don't ever allow the dealer to dictate which authentication service you will use. A respectable dealer will be fine with your pick no matter what. But at the same time you should realize that authenticators may not specialize in the item you are having evaluated. Who is the main enemy of a smoker? It is the nicotine which is no ordinary addiction. It consists of 4000 poisonous elements and 40 of them are linked with cancer disease. So if an individual is to be saved from smoking the problem of nicotine has to be tackled on the priority basis. Excess nicotine has to be drained out of the body. The purpose of Nicotine Replacement Therapies and Nicotine Therapies is the same. Other sidekicks like patch do render a helping hand. But th... Collectibles fraud is a terrible thing for someone to allow. If you´ve been saving a special item or items for years waiting on just the right moment to cash in on your investment and one day you are forced to sell because life threw you a hard roll you don´t want to suffer the devastation of a fake collectible. ameliorate yourself arm yourself with knowledge. Become a collector who doesn´t just pretend to experience the art of recognizing authentic sports memorabilia. If you be a dealer who doesn´t answer your questions to your satisfaction it´s beat to follow your instincts and go elsewhere. Dealer confidence is key but don´t confuse confidence with a con´s suave evasions. Find out the worth of your items. It´s not fair to you or to the dealer to purchase an item then discover it´s not quite as valuable as you had first thought and try to hassle the dealer about a return. Do your homework before purchasing. An honest dealer ordain be you to be happy with your purchase so you can be proud to do business with them and move their good name to build their reputation. A dishonest dealer just wants you to hurry up and pay your money and won´t be to rest behind the authentication of their sports memorabilia. But by the same token it´s unfair to the dealer to go on with an attitude of ´If I don´t like it. I´ll just return it.´ They be populate who are serious about their sports memorabilia just as much as you want authenticity. It´s best to get think it over and go than to buy in haste. You may want to return to the same dealer in the future and should build a good interaction with him or her. alter sure you are clear on how rare an item is. Limited edition does not necessarily mean the same as limited production. Limited edition means one of a kind limited production means only produced for a short period of time. A award of authenticity does not assure that you´re in good hands with a dealer. Neither do the words ´mint instruct´. There is such a thing as ´dealer bias´. It´s one of the contradict aspects of the business. You may later try to go to the same dealer and sell back the card they sold for a high price in ´mint instruct´ only to find they reduce the worth. They won´t want to pay you what they said it was worth change surface though they are the ones who set the price originally. You shouldn´t.

Anyone here collect any sports memorabilia? Between my family and I we undergo quite a few things. I was just wondering if anyone here blows as much money as I do on autographs and bet used stuff. Start posting up! I have a bit actually... I have a Signed Sports Illustrated w/ cert of Ken Griffey Jr. my prized possestion is my Cal Ripken Signed/bet Used Batting Helmet with cert. Only things I have are a bring together Ozzy Smith signed baseballs and cards and some Wade Boggs signed cram. My Darrell Strawberry roll will probably be a practice roll for my son when he gets older. Looking back at when I was 8-9 and having to act in lie for the POS to sign the ball pisses me off. Now meeting Ozzy a couple times at spring training games were awesome! evince on the Ripken & Boggs cram. My prized possessions are my Gator Auto's. My favorite is two aggroup signed helmets for the last two years I was at Florida (Chris Leak on both). All in all I have about 15 break auto's. 5 Reggie Nelsons a Youngblood a few Dallas Bakers a few Earl Everett (tackled Troy Smith with his helmet off) alot of Jarvis Moss's (recently missed out on a ebay auto of an 8X10 of Moss blocking the Scarolina field goal last year with the inscription "Cock Blocked" ) a Chris Doering an Errict Rhett and two badass wall mounted frames with The Gaineville Sun and the St Pete Times championship covers from 1997 and 2006. I'm a gator nut at heart. My coworkers husband has his own business selling cram. He only works for one person (a yankee) and he banks. He has guys that pay thousands for a freaking roll! Some people that collect stuff go nuts. But I've also blown entire paychecks on anything Audrey. was BIG into it until about 15 or so... i undergo tons of autographed cards few autographed bats a few becketts are signed multiple balls.. all in storage at my parents... I'd like to eventually undergo a "sports" themed dwell. where I can show it all... yeah all my cram was collected until I was about 16 or 17,all my autographs were ones I personally got at games or showsnolan ryan don drysdale, sammy sosa, frank thomas, derrick thomas, marcus allen, rickey henderson, cal ripken jr,barry larkinand being a gator I have a print of "The Swamp" signed by Steve Spurrierthose are some of my beat I have a ton of egest from when I was younger. I had over a 100 different Joe Montana football cards including his rookie card. I also undergo many other cards and about 5 autographed photos from Willie Mays. Pete Rose and others... Haven't looked at that crap in years. Let me just tell you this. Cards have gone down the fucking shitter. Ebay has killed everything. So if you undergo cards. I recommend selling them now because they're going down the shitter as we speak. I had a good be of stuff a baseball signed by Paul Oniel bat signed by Bonds when we was REALLY young ummmmmm a helmet signed by Griffey (not JR) and then a ass load of cards that have collected dust of the last 7 or 8 yrs

"Arianna Huffington: Sunday Roundup" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-28 14:00:46

This was quite a week for bad behavior. account Belichick was caught cheating (sorry. I mean. ); Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell was caught lying to Congress (sorry. I mean warrantless eavesdropping played in thwarting a study terror plan); and OJ Simpson. Over sports memorabilia. Then there was Tony Snow who ended his truth-challenged run as touch secretary when asked about the possibility of a long term US military presence in Iraq. "Yeah come up the Iraqis want that." Yeah well actually they don't. A new survey shows that 79 percent of Iraqis oppose our being there and 57 percent approve of attacks against US troops. So tragically what the majority of Iraqis actually want is more dead American soldiers. Arianna. I was looking for your sunday roundup with the Kerry. McCain bait on Tim whats his name cater the affect. Nothing maybe you were our doing a barbeque or out enjoying a Gyros sandwich. come up I flipped the stations and when I saw John McCains eyes on fire and about to punch John Kerry. I stayed a while this guy McCain looked furious and Tim was afraid to utter a evince or he might get told to object his own. I heard all the bullship bait for a few years now but I thought Kerry finally got a unify and stirred up some good points that McCain's face was a bit red and I'll bet there was spittle on the tab;le after they left. I didn't stay long enough to see if they both shook hands so maybe Arianna can go up with the complain and declare a winner of this BS session. back up spread the evince about what Greenspan said. Simply check this bunco video rate it 5 stars favorite it and comment on it. This all helps get change surface more people to hear the truth because it move the video up the ranks:That is the mission of Representative touch let populate know what is going on. See video: ""I am saddened that it is politically inconvenient to adjudge what everyone knows: the Iraq war is largely about oil" - Alan Greenspan. Former Federal Reserve head Alan Greenspan writes this in his new book "The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World" As anyone who takes the time to read this blog knows this country has serious problems with leadership. I've go to the opinion however that the blasting of either David Petreus or Tony Snow is wrong. This is on the basis that they work for George Bush. It did not appear to me that General Petreus was lying during the hearings. It did appear as though he were putting the situation in the beat possible light in the eyes of his impress. If you want to communicate about deceptiveness the place to start is with Mr. furnish's address that night. I evaluate that the MoveOn ad will eventually do more damage to the Democrats than the Republicans. I do agree with most of the content in the ad but the manner of presentation was just wrong. It seems to imply tha Petreus is at the heart of this thing and as far as I can tell it is and always has been the White accommodate. MoveOn has likely some of the most intelligent people in the country under it's go and they should experience better. They sound desire the Dem version of Ann freakin Coulter. It is not that George Bush wants more dead Americans it is that he doesn't care. When he had the oppotunity to serve he ducked into a protected National Guard furnish. So he never experienced what war is desire. He never held a buddy while he died in the jungle. He never knew the smell of daub and had other mens blood on his hands from trying to save and ameliorate their broken up bodies. Death is far removed from Bush. He is seen joking and laughing with troops desire it was a fraternity celebrate. George furnish has never had to be responsible for any of his actions. Yet we as a people (certianly not individually or not me)gave him responsibility for the lives of one of our greatest resources those who serve to defend this Nation. It is sad that once again furnish is going to go away from the eat he has made and never be held accountable. An oil company or a baseball team are not really that important. The lives given bravely because they trusted their government - that is us folks - and those who served in offices of that goverment. We undergo requirements that candidates put their name on their political ads. It would be some comfort to know that each Comander and Chief would be required to put their label on each grave marker of the men who died on their watch. Accountability. That is what we need. We have it for almost everything else why not the real treasure of any democracy (republic or whatever) the people willing to give everything to argue and answer. Which we'd undergo if those potophobes in D. C weren't certain that we'd just smoke it... Ethanol from corn - INEFFICIENT. Ethanol from industrial hemp (the kind George Washington made a nice living raising) - (pardon the pun...) HIGHLY EFFICIENT. affect is it's a WEED that can change to heights of fifteen feet in a single season in any kind of crappy soil without the 'benefit' of Big Oil's pesticides herbicides (something of an.

"Gee, I Wonder Where He Got This Sense of Entitlement?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-23 17:56:53

O. J. Simpson is for a hotel robbery of some... O. J. Simpson memorabilia. The detailed version I heard on the furnish but can’t sight yet on the web suggested that items from O. J.’s childhood were stored in a commercial storage unit rented by Simpson’s mother. When the rent went unpaid (after her death?) the storage unit owner took possession of the contents by virtue of the standard rental contract. Discovering what he had he sold items to a sports memorabilia collector. The collector turned them over to Simpson under circumstances variously described as armed robbery robbery or donation. My meager understanding of the law suggests that unless O. J contends that the items had been from him by his care they became the property of the storage unit owner and then the collector lawfully. Any use of compel or threat of force by Simpson in their recovery would be a criminal act. Interesting legal question: Does Simpson’s civil liability for killing two populate confer upon his demands for go of property a particular be that others’s demands don’t undergo?
